1. Missions
Our recommendation goes towards playing a combination of both Eternal War & Maelstrom of War Missions, making use of the Tactical Objectives. We know there are some balancing issues, but there are ways around that, and we have some great minds at work to tinker enough with the variants to make it playable. Option would be to show mission cards to your opponent if objective would be unachievable and discard/draw new one in this case. We could also play with a select number of cards per round. Or limit the impact of the tactical objectives each game. have them contribute 1-3 points to the battle total like for the VP's, or have them replace Vp's altogether and have 15 points from eternal war missions and the other 5 from the tactical objectives? The ways we can play around with that are legio, but if we want to embrace 7th edition, the rulespack crew feels we should do it in full. We would petition the org crew to make available a set of cards with these objectives for each player like they did last year with the player batches.
At least this way we have two weeks already to playtest these missions. If we collectively decide we don't like them we can vote again to play the Spanish Missionset which we all know by know.
2. Army comp
Obviously a big one. Lots of stuff changed in 7th edition though, which in our view warrants another look at things.
A. 1 FOC for Primary Detachment, 1 FOC for Allied Detachment
B. Each codex once as Primary and once as Allied.
C. Imperial Knights and Inquisition can be taken as Primary or as Allied, and also once per team as a 'tertiary' in which case they will also use up the ally slot for the team. (Imperial Knights only if they ride their sauruses of course!! :
  )
D. No mirror combos within the team. The main codex or supplement chosen as the primary army does not have to be the same as the one selected for the ally force. (ie: This allows Iyanden/xxx and yyy/Eldar or Tau/xxx and yyy/Farsight or SM/SM army combinations). Codex and supplement may only ally with each other when the books specifically allow it, but of course uses up both main and ally slot for the team.
E. No Escalation and Lords of War.
F. No Stronghold Assault but Skyshield, Bastion and Aegis Defence Line. Either one of two options: captains that use fortifications or face teams using them go over the rows pre-game to make sure fortifications can be placed on most tables (if not, some slight, minor terrain reshuffling can be done to accomodate). This would make sure no-one pays for a model they can not potentially use in the battle. Option B is that we stick with the old clarification in that if you canot place it you cannot use it. Let us know what you prefer here.
G. Belakor, Cypher, Tyranid War Veterans dataslates can be used.
H. No Formations can be used. Neither can Forgeworld.
I. It's too early to tell, but we were of the impression Come The Apocalypse does not add much to the game and is potentially worry-some so would only allow Allies of Convenience and Desperate Allies to be used. We can change this when in two weeks we've had time to pitch in.
J. For Terrain we propose a clear convention: All pieces of terrain that is woodland or a forest will be played as Twisted Copse (p190) Note: The Dense Thicket rule also applies to vehicles. All pieces of area terrain or unclassified pieces will count as Battlescape (p188) with the dangerous terrain rule replaced by difficult terrain. Note: vehicles still follow the 25% rules for cover on page 77 and do not gain cover for being inside Battlescape pieces of terrain."
K. Conceding a Game results in 20-0
L. Army List Submission needs a vote, will be instigated shortly.
M. Armies need to be 3 colours minimum and WYSIWYG
